AeroGraphics Design specializes in the design, manufacture, installation and support of graphics for aircraft owners, builders, manufacturers, and painters/restorers; airports; fixed base operators; and other aerospace entities.

AeroGraphics Design (AGD) was originally created in 1992 to address the challenges associated with paint and finish work on sport aircraft. Finish painting is very intimidating to most sportplane builders, and is among the most time consuming and expensive processes for certified aircraft manufacturers and owners. Seeking ways to improve the quality of the finish and reduce the time and expense required, AeroGraphics Design founder John L. Knolla borrowed an idea from the automotive, boating and RV industries: vinyl graphics.

Our capabilities include custom lettering and graphics for aircraft, including nose and tail art, logos, and stripes; lettering, graphics and signage for airports and fixed base operators; and digital printing and graphic design\desktop publishing.

In addition to 15 years experience in aviation graphic design, AeroGraphics Design Founder John Knolla has over 10 years experience in Technical Publications, Logistics Support and Management, supporting initial or continued FAA certification for no less than 9 turbine powered aircraft at Raytheon Aircraft and Eclipse Aviation. 

A lifelong aviation enthusiast, Mr. Knolla had his first airplane ride at age 3 and has been hooked ever since.  He began flying at age 17, and over the last 20 years has earned his Private Pilot's License, Instrument Rating and earned his Commercial Pilot's License with Instrument Privileges in 2001. 

Mr. Knolla has flight experience in 19 different fixed wing types ranging from the Challenger II Ultralight, Long-EZ, Merlin GT, and other experimentals, Cessna 150-182, Beechcraft H-35 and A-36 Bonanza, to the 1,100 shp Turboprop Air Force T-6A, and has also flown the Robinson R-22 helicopter.
